How do I invite members/students/teachers in the Admin Portal?

How to invite individual students, bulk classes, and admins to my team.

Did you know that if your school or district has upgraded (paid) for the Sworkit Student Management System, you can invite new members, students and teachers through the Admin Portal? This feature is not currently available to free accounts. Depending on who you want to invite the steps are a little different so we've outlined each way below.

Adding an Admin (Other Teachers or School Administrators)

  1. Tap on the "Admin Portal" in the left side menu.

  2. Tap on the menu in the upper left side again.

  3. Tap on "Manage Members".

  4. Tap the blue "Invite Members" box.

  5. Tap the "Invite Admin" option.

  6. Add, their first and last name, email address, assign a group (if applicable) and language.

  7. It's up to you if you would like to send them a custom message.

  8. When you've filled out all fields tap "Send Invite".

Adding Bulk Members (Students)

  1. Tap on the "Admin Portal".

  2. Tap on the menu in the upper left side again.

  3. Tap "Manage Members".

  4. Tap the blue "Invite Members" box.

  5. Tap the "Invite Multiple Members" option.

  6. Choose the "Download CSV Template" option, you will see it in the bottom left corner of your browser window.

  7. Open Google Sheets and tap "File" and "Import". Then drag and drop the template from the bottom left of the browser window.

  8. Chose the "Upload" option.

  9. Make sure the two options "Replace Spreadsheet" and "Detect Automatically" are checked and then tap "Import Data".

  10. Add the members you wish to add including their name, email address, group, and custom message.

  11. Once all your members are added name the spreadsheet by tapping on the "Untitled Spreadsheet" header and typing your preferred name.

  12. Then tap "File" β†’ "Download" β†’ "Comma Separated Values (.CSV)".

  13. Go back to Sworkit and tap "Import CSV". Find the CSV you created and tap "Open".

  14. Check the information that has been added and then tap "Send Invites" to send your custom emails to all members.

Students and Teachers Can Create Their Sworkit Accounts with Unique URL

  1. Tap on the "Admin Portal".

  2. Tap "Manage Members".

  3. In the "Invite Link" box you'll see your unique school/district URL. Share this link with your teachers or students to have them create their Sworkit account and be automatically joined to your school/district/organization.
