We’ve got some good and bad news.
There's a fix coming from the Chromium team that should be released in the coming weeks - hopefully on August 25th:
"WebView is part of Chrome, so after the fix will be merged to the release branch it will be rolled out with 85 Stable release on August 25."

The underlying problem that’s causing Sworkit to flash black and white during some workouts is because of a recent update of Chromium (software Android uses that helps run Sworkit) that happened on July 14-15, 2020. If you've seen it in Sworkit, you'll likely see it on other apps that you use, or other websites you visit. It affects a handful of devices; see list below to see if yours is affected.
We apologize for the inconvenience! For the time being here are a few recommendations:
- Other Sworkers have noted if you skip and press previous the flashing goes away (although you can’t see the button when the screen is flashing - skip is in the bottom right corner, previous is in the bottom left).
- You can do your workouts at app.sworkit.com - as long as you are logged in with the same account you will have the same access.
- You can also try another device, phone, tablet, or PC. If you have another device in the house, chances are it will work! We’ve tested Sworkit on a lot of devices and Sworkit still works great on other devices that aren't affected by this bug. We’ll reach out as soon as the issue is fully resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience!
