Troubleshooting Apple Health Syncing

Tips and tricks to help get Apple Health workout/step data into Sworkit

Written by Bridgette

Try these to get syncing:

  • Close and Open the Sworkit App

Completely close the Sworkit app on your iPhone and reopen it. This should trigger it to sync.

  • Relink Apple Health to Sworkit

iOS updates can disrupt the connection to Sworkit. Go into Settings in the Sworkit app on your iPhone >> tap Apple Health >> tap Disconnect Apple Health >> tap Unlink >> then tap Connect with Apple Health >> toggle ON chosen options (likely, Steps and Workout Importing) >> tap Start Manual Sync.

  • Permissions Access

Still not working? Make sure that Sworkit is listed under apps that may access your Apple Health data. Go to Settings on your iPhone >> Health >> Data Access & Devices >> tap Sworkit >> ensure that Sworkit is allowed to read Steps and Workouts.

  • Uninstall/Reinstall Sworkit

If it still is not working, Uninstall and reinstall the Sworkit app on your iPhone. **Don't worry, your workout data is saved on our end!

  • Motion Access

Lastly, if you don't use a wearable device such as a watch to count steps, check this in your iPhone Settings >> Privacy & Security >> Motion & Fitness >> make sure it's toggled ON.
