How to sync with Sworkit if you used Fitbit (Google Health)

Google retired the Fitbit connection. Here's how to keep your Fitbit steps and workouts coming into Sworkit through Apple Health or Health Connect.

Written by Victoria

Google has retired the Fitbit connection Sworkit used, so Fitbit (now called Google Health) can no longer sync directly to Sworkit. We're sorry for the hassle! You won't lose any activity that's already in your My Sworkit log.

The good news: you can still get your Fitbit steps and workouts into Sworkit by sending them through your phone's health app first.

đŸ“± On iPhone: use Apple Health

  1. In the Google Health app, turn on sharing to Apple Health.

  2. In Sworkit, connect Apple Health and turn on importing steps and workouts. Step by step: How do I sync Apple Health to My Sworkit?

đŸ€– On Android: use Health Connect

  1. In the Google Health app, turn on sharing to Health Connect.

  2. In Sworkit, connect Health Connect and make sure your permissions are toggled on. Step by step: Sync workout data on Android with Health Connect

Good to know

  • The Google Health (Fitbit) option in Sworkit Settings won't sync anymore. Use Apple Health or Health Connect instead.

  • Open Sworkit regularly. Your steps and workouts now update when you open the Sworkit app, so pop in often to keep your log current.

  • Missing a few days? Use Manual Step Sync to pull in steps from earlier dates.

  • Still stuck? Check out Syncing your health apps + devices to Sworkit or send us a message and we'll help.
