Did you take the dog for a walk? Go on a bike ride with your kids?

If your watch or another app tracked those activities to Apple Health, you can have them show up in your My Sworkit fitness log!

Each time you record a workout with the Apple Health app, it can be imported into your My Sworkit calendar just by opening the Sworkit app (neat, huh?). This is a great way to track your overall consistency and see your activity streaks!

Steps to enable this feature:

  1. Open the Sworkit app on your device, tap the 3 menu lines in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.

  2. Tap on Settings at the bottom of the menu.

  3. Under Sync Your Steps & Workouts, tap Apple Health.

  4. Tap Connect with Apple Health at the bottom.

  5. Toggle ON the options that work best for you.

  6. After completing an outside exercise, open your Sworkit app and your data will automatically sync to your My Sworkit log.

Troubleshooting Tips & Tricks for syncing data:

  • Sworkit will only try to sync workouts from the past 30 days.

  • If you don't see your external workouts from Apple Health in Sworkit, try these:

    • Completely closing the Sworkit app on your iPhone and reopening it can trigger it to sync your Apple Health workouts.

    • Updates to your iPhone's iOS can force Sworkit to un-sync with Apple Health. Go to Settings in the Sworkit app and see if Apple Health is still connected. If not, reconnect.

    • Check permissions in your iPhone Settings >> Health >> Data Access & Devices >> Sworkit >> toggle ON everything to Allow Sworkit to Read.

Garmin Connection Troubleshooting

To sync Garmin with Apple Health, use the Garmin Connect app to grant it permission within Apple Health (under Profile > Apps), then go to the Health app's data sources for Steps/Activity and prioritize Garmin Connect to ensure it's the primary source for accurate data like steps and heart rate. This connection pulls data from your watch into the Health app, but you often need to set Garmin Connect as the main source for accuracy.

From Garmin Connect to Apple Health (Initial Setup)

  1. Open Garmin Connect: On your iPhone, launch the Garmin Connect app.

  2. Go to Settings: Tap "More" (bottom right) > "Settings".

  3. Select Connected Apps: Tap "Connected Apps".

  4. Connect to Apple Health: Select "Apple Health," then "Connect with Apple Health," and toggle on the data categories (Workouts, Steps, Heart Rate, etc.) you want to share.

  5. Allow Permissions: Tap "Allow" to confirm.

In the Apple Health App (Prioritizing Data)

  1. Open Apple Health: Launch the Health app on your iPhone.

  2. Find Data Source: Go to "Summary," tap your profile picture, then select "Apps" under Privacy.

  3. Check Garmin Connect: Select the Garmin Connect app and ensure all desired categories are toggled on.

  4. Set as Primary Source: Go back to the main Health screen, tap the "Steps" or "Walking + Running Distance" card, scroll down to "Data Sources & Access," and drag Garmin Connect to the top of the list.

Additional connections are available for MyFitnessPal, and Strava. Still not syncing right? Check out this article with additional tips.
